Well, my son and I are ready to board our flight to Vietnam. I’ll keep you posted along our journey and share our adventure as we experience a whole host of new things.
New Decorative Cards
I’ve been working to perfect my card making skills♥ and trying to use new techniques I’ve learned from the local scrapbooking store on their “Make and Take Days”, every Wednesday. I needed decided to create my own cards for recent holidays, events, and thank yous. Even though time-wise it is labor intensive, the satisfaction factor is so rewarding…creativity brings a level of happiness!
Have a great weekend!
Finding God’s Will
The Gospel is very simple, we make it more complex than God ever did. Our loving and compassionate Father gives us all we need when we trust in Him. We often ask, “God, what is Your will?”, and that is a great question. Though, I think it is an easier walk through this life if our trust is in Him; knowing that He is leading and guiding us by the Holy Spirit and we believe that what He says is true. We won’t always know all the answers this side of Heaven – it is a walk of faith….but we have a clue:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 is a good place to start to knowing God’s will for your life.
Rejoice – because you know He has your heart and will always lead you into good things, because He is good and He loves you beyond measure, there is nothing that compares to Him.
Pray without ceasing – because sometimes we are clueless. I want my trust to be confined in His heart for me and the prayers I pray establishes more communication with Him, taking me deeper in intimacy and relationship… then wait on Him to find out what He says to me, by dwelling in that place of intimacy.
Giving thanks – because having a thankful heart really is an act of faith and worship, especially when we absolutely don’t feel like the current circumstances deserve gratitude. Give thanks anyway!
Finding Your Groove in Day-to-Day Projects
I may have been pretty silent lately, but never still. I work on up coming projects almost everyday. I am trying new styles, new materials, and new media. This is officially National Scrap-booking Month and to stay current in all things paper, I enrolled my daughter and myself in a one day class that lasted 12 hours. We could only make one day though it was an entire 3-day weekend. It was so much fun and we learned a lot about tools, methods, and got inspired to do more.
I am not a scrap-booking person per se, and would rather do projects in mixed media, so that is why the project we did had more form than framing pictures for an album. Everybody’s box was so unique and full of different styles. It took hours to make with all the cutting and gluing and papering. I can’t wait to use it on my dresser for a caddy to throw my stuff in and actually look organized.
Here is a sneak peek of up coming projects in the works – waiting to be finished.
