I’ve been busy decorating my house, so I thought I’d show you some pics of what I’ve done.
I made this tablecloth on Thursday! (See below for inspiration.)
Fall makes me feel very creative and so beyond willing to sew, cook, paint, decorate, and do some gardening.
This is about as scary as I get for Halloween, I really don’t like the spooky, witchy stuff!
Inspiration for My Fall Tablecloth
I found this pretty black and white graphic tablecloth on the Better Homes and Gardens website (BHG.com) and if you want to find it, type “pumpkin tablecloth” in the search button. I just had to make it.
More photos of what I did:
I changed the base to some fabric that I already had instead of plain off-white. I realized when I was making this that I really missed embroidery and hand stitching, maybe I need to take it up again.
The Lord gave me a word today, so I thought I’d share it:
Doors of destiny are beginning to open in your life with opportunities for new ideas, strategies, and creativity. These doors will open when our hearts are surrendered to the Holy Spirit and not tainted by presumption, fear, prejudice, and pride.
Presumption: Assuming you know exactly what God is saying without consulting His Wisdom and timing.
Fear: These new doors open by following the Holy Spirit by faith, without timidity and fear – because without faith it is impossible to please God*.
Prejudice: When you determine God’s will for yourself, because you can’t see outside the box – not willing to accept that He may be calling you to new things, people, and places, outside your comfort zone and ideals.
Pride: Resisting God and not walking in humility with a contrite heart, and laziness.
These doors open the Kingdom glory, power, and purpose… designed in your life to do the “greater things” that Jesus spoke of. The greater things in you, your community, and in the world. God wants to set the world on fire with the knowledge of Him and the Glory that shall cover the Earth…coming with the exaltation of His Son, Jesus. What better way to walk into your destiny than by opening the doors that He is knocking on now, revealing His heart to you.
I’ve been on a new quest to finish all of my ongoing projects before starting any new ones. I love new ideas and imagining how I can improve things that are outdated or “old school”. Though before I get ahead of myself, I need to stop, and complete my unfinished originals. I’m not a procrastinator, just inspired by lots of things. Creating new things makes me so happy and genuinely joyful.
This is a photo album that I did for this summer’s beach theme in my creations. It is an accordion-folded album that can contain quite a few photos of vacations, special events, and little mementos and treasures. I would be glad to post the how-tos and measurements if I get enough replies to this post. It is a very fun project and would make someone a fantastic gift. Cover with a shell closure
You can have some fabulous ideas of your own and create endless possibilities with colors, shapes, and themes.
Cards with a coastal/beach theme
I finished most of these current cards, mostly to find ideas and materials I can use for later projects…possible mock-ups for an art line I hope to launch next year.
