We have not hosted a family Easter Day in at least a decade, we’ve always celebrated out of town at grandmas’. It was so delightful to be able to cook and share our feast with three of our children and friends. Here was our menu:
More pics from Easter…lemon cake, Easter Tree, Peeps on the rum soaked carrot cupcakes, Easter banner…*We had fun blowing up Peeps in the microwave, who knew they grow 5X their size and turn into one big enormous blob!

Projects to Come:
Here are two projects that I am currently working – the “before”! Keep watching for their total makeovers!
Today’s project was so easy and so fun. I found two Pottery Barn Kids valance curtains at Goodwill for $2.99! I instantly thought of Easter and a new runner that I could make by sewing them together. The farm animals were adorable and were handmade, and the gingham border was perfect for spring. I had to cut off the rod pockets on top of each valance in order to sew the two sides together. No hemming, no remeasuring, and so easy because they were exactly the same, bam! – done in 10 minutes. Inspiration can come at any time, keep your eyes open for things around you!
I styled the table runner for my coffee table – kind of whimsical, kind of elegant.Collage of the hand sewn animals on the new table runner.
Here are some Easter tablescapes that caught my eye while surfing the net. I love all sorts of styles; chic, cute, elegant, springy, whimsical, brights, pastels, natural, and even cookies. I wanted inspire you this holiday, which includes Passover and spring, to liven up your homes and smile with new ideas. Enjoy the “eye candy”!
I always try to credit the photos that I share hoping I got them correctly listed, to direct you to websites that may give you an urge of creativity, and inspire you to seek out the many sites that are awesome.
