    On the Road Again

Here is my art journal page for today:

At times in our walk with Jesus He brings you to a place where you encounter Him at a ‘cross’road. It is a place where decisions and choices are made, especially if He is asking you to trust in His guidance without seeing beyond His words to you. Well, I am at that place, He is asking me to say goodbye. It is a goodbye to the ‘stale bread’ in my life; things that were once easy to maintain and where I had joy, though now those things don’t produce the grace they once did.
He has me on a new journey that requires faith (since it is way out of my comfort zone box) into a glorious new path filled with promise and renewal. I am excited but at the same time is really scary, I really need to be brave. I trust the One who knows me better than I know myself and His love gives me great strength. Bon voyage stale bread!

P.S. I am not saying goodbye to this blog or any artistic endeavors, only the old ways and unfruitful thinking.  It is a joy to to bring you these pages with it’s encouragement and artful moments!!! It is a journey that compels me forward.

    Cards for a Purpose

    Card Making for A21

This Saturday I will be teaching a class on card making for the A21 project, which seeks to abolish human trafficking in the world.  Its organization raises awareness to the largest human commodity – modern slaves on our planet.  This ministry is shouldered by Christine Caine and her husband, Nick.*

A local women’s church group wanted to help this organization and to encourage the 1% who have bravely gotten out of trafficking…so they decided to write words of encouragement and asked me to be involved – teaching and making cards.   We will write prayerful sentiments to lift up and edify these people who have suffered at the hands of others.  I encourage you to get involved any way you can.

Here are some of the cards we will be making:

A21 cards butterfly heart celebrate freedom fly away brave flying heart Jar love roses

Please pray for these victims of cruelty beyond words and consider getting involved.

*Christine Caine is an Australian activist, evangelist and international speaker. Caine and her husband Nick are best known for founding The A21 Campaign in 2008, a non-profit, non-governmental organization that combats human trafficking, as well as Equip & Empower Ministries, which seeks to aid the development and growth of Christian churches and church leaders.
